I lost Dogmeat and cant find him!

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:24 pm

I told Dogmeat to stay and then forgot to tell him to follow me again. I looked everywhere i remembered going to but cannot find him. Its been two weeks game time, and he is still MIA.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get him back?

Look back at your Red Rocket base or if you built a dog house at any settlement check there. Other than that no idea sorry.

Did you check Red Rocket, where you found him?

He may go back there after a while of inactivity.

try looking in one of the doghouses in around sanctuary or build a dog house in your home settlement

If you are playing on PC, there is most likely a console command to summon him.

If on PC these are the commands:

player.moveto 0001D162

Or

moveto player 0001D162

I've found that if you're involved in a certain questline which requires Dogmeat's help, he apparently won't return home until you finish it, may want to check outstanding quests.

Otherwise he's always near his doghouse, hanging with the junkyard dogs and Mama Murphy.

My Power Armor got moved yesterday.

I had left it right inside the doors of the Freedom Museum ( I think that's the name ) and when I went back to get it ... IT WAS GONE.

finally came across it just standing in the street in another town!!!!

How the hell it got there I've no idea. I'm positive where I left it.

Now I've started leaving it in the Power Armor station in Red Rocket and fast traveling to where I want to go and not taking the suit unless I need one.

Hopefully it will stay where I put it this time.

Concerning Power Armor, always remove the Fusion Core, otherwise an NPC may grab it.

But the safest bet is as noted above, always store it at a settlement. Mine are lined down a wall at the Castle, really wish you could salvage some of the extra suits.
