Any settlements with armour and weapon stations?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 3:03 am

I've got 2 charisma and I do not plan to delve too deep into settlements for a while, so I am looking for a list of settlements with weapon AND armour stations so I can pick somewhere for my main base (not fond of Sanctuary as my first Base)

Thanks

I'm making Sunshine Tidings my main base of operations. Nice open area with several intact buildings and houses.

The Combat Zone has both, and it's not even a settlement.

Though this should be in spoilers...

I had to go back and check. Sorry, no it didn't. Just workbench, cooking station, and chem station, but it does now!

Most seem to have one missing I guess to make it more challenging to do so.

Yeah. They don't require a whole lot of materials to build though, so it's all good.

I guess you aren't interested in just finding them while questing, because there are quite a few *not* in settlements.

What I really want is one settlement to build my house, more central to the map, so I can store all my scrap. That's the key, accessing all my scrap as I mod a lot

I think this is why most people opted for Red Rocket Station just outside of Sanctuary. It has weapons, armour, chem and cooking station. It's not so central, but it serves well. I haven't found anything yet that would replace red rocket as my main base of operations. Also, all of my companions are there and they defend it well if it gets attacked.

Have you been to the Combat Zone yet? It's a theater near Diamond city, has easy access with a fast-travel spot, is a small interior cell with beds, storage and the two workshops you want. You could store all your stuff there, use it as a base (after cleaning out the raiders), but it's not a settlement. To me, it's a perfect base of operations, if you don't want to construct buildings.

Sanctuary has all of that as well, you just need to find them and stick them somewhere obvious.

Armor benches? Do these even exist in New Vegas?

Does Novac not work for you? Sure the benches (reload and weapons) are across the street at the gas station, but they are there. There is also an old metal shed that has 2 benches nearby.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/The_Slog, in the northeast, is a nice settlement if you don't want to do any building. It has one big building that has lots of space for bunks and craft stations. It has a big flat roof perfect for windmills and laser turrets.

It also has a pool.

That's what I thought as the places named made no sense to me...

They're teasing us!

*I thought at first they were talking about Honest Hearts, which I am about to do again.
