Romanceable Characters in Fallout 4?

I guess we'd better leave it at we have different tastes, and yours are a lot easier to persuade by corporate spending. :P (...Since that last bit could sound really harsh, I mean it as a joke in case the smiley wasn't an indicator...I'm neither anti-corporate nor anti-AAA; I simply tend to prefer indie games in recent years.)

The serious discussion we're having about romance amuses me. I merely wish to witness my Legacy slaughtering hundreds of feral ghouls, surrounded from all sides, armed with naught but a minigun and a bottomless clip. Power-armor is optional...

But back on topic... the only thing I can truly romance is glorious combat.

bethesda already forcing us to listen when our protagonist goes all emotional becaiuse of the voiced protagonist

last thing i want is our protagonist go all emotional again over some digital pixels that i can not even connect with , certainly do not want any story telling as in the witcher 3 , not that i have something like those scenes , it was just stupid looked stupid and sounded even more stupid

It has been said, that they made it to vault all together, but then he was the only one who survived, so he is pretty much free.

Romance or not i sure hope there will be some six slaves, like it should be in any decent wasteland. But, i fear we would have to wait for mods to implement that, because gamesas will probably lack balls to do it.

i'm kind of starting to get to terms with the voice acting since i heard the dude, he doesn't sound exactly bad* (and Courtney WhatWasHerName sounds downright awesome, just the type of voice i could listen to all night. damn shame i play males :-)

the one thing that still bugs me to no end though, that's how that darn dialogue wheel (which i totally don't need itself, i LIKE top-down lists) cuts off your line so you'll never know what you're gonna say... how could they ever do that... *sigh*...

* a couple details in the prev videos gave me the suspicion they might add runtime filters to the voice to better suit it to your character build. could just be overinterpreting though.

no, it has been said that he "exits the vault as it's only survivor".

this would also be true if his wife and kid, like, left a week earlier, so this isn't necessarily the same as "he was the only one who survived".

so, careful you don't celebrate your freedom too early, your spouse might be watching from behind some bush... :-)

well, technically, there were kind of six slaves in both fo3 and fnv:

in fo3, there was that hugh hefner style dude in that hotel near the river (ok not slaves exactly, call them bunnies :-),

and in fnv, there even was a quest where you'd take a forced prosttute to freedom - and there were quite a lot of assets for caged babes in the game files, but haven't been used much, probably were and got censored out though

Why would he let them out in wasteland without him? I hope you wrong, there is nothing worse then a family drama based story, i would hate it if he would be running around whining about his family.

You are right, now i remember there was this slavery, but it was so lame that i even fergot about it. I hope they will put some work into it this time, like make at least a bar or shop where you can buy slaves, a slavers guild maybe, so that it would look complied.

"doc love, couple therapist, pleased to meet you. i shall accompany your mourning throughout the rest of your journey." :-D

right, it didn't exactly feel raunchy. or dangerous. or shady. or righteous. or interesting. or like it mattered in any way whatsoever :-)

In Fallout 3 we had Paradise Falls where the player could go to work collecting slaves and ultimately buy Clover.

I shot them all in the face. Or tried, at any rate.

Before romance I think we need more lively companions or followers. For example during my first Fallout 3 playthrough Clover got infront of my minigun and died and I just went and looted her and moved on since i didn't feel like reloading. That changed in New Vegas and the funny thing is that New Vegas didn't really do that much more, but at least the followers felt a bit more lively giving me a sentiment of loss when they got killed, something I didn't really feel in Fallout 3 (well maybe except for Fwakes but then again that guy never dies).

And yes, i wish if they do anything like this, they should put some work into behavior of companions, so that they don't act like robots and don't try to kill themself on every opportunity.
