Fallout 4's hamage to Darksouls...mind blown!~

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 6:31 pm

I don't know this is intenssional or not... but...

Being Rad poison drops max health... kinda like DS2 when dying.... more of it will bring the player's max health further down... Ghouls are people who sere exposed to Rad too much and too long... now "Cursed" with deformaty, and awaits their Hollow...I mean going feral...

SO...

When you recieved Rad poison, you are "Hollowing" and as you get futhur Rad poison... you get less and less max health Darksouls2 style... but this one have no limit,,, and when you die by Rad... you become Fera (Full Hollow)

MIND BLOWN!~

totally should make:

*long white beared Ghoul Blacksmith "...and be careful out there.. nither of us want to see you go Feral..."

*when die by Rad poison... player character should display transformation animation to a Feral Ghoul...

I'm not an expert on lore, but I think the idea of ghouls (normal and feral ones) predate Dark Souls by at least 15 years?

There may be a similarity but not a connection.

As far as i remember, ghouls emerged of the nuclear holocaust with the aid of FEV (Forced Evolution Virus), the same virus that affected Super Mutants, and most of the mutated fauna we meet in the game. By no means your character can become a ghoul without the effect of the virus, combined with very high radiation exposure (lore wise).

I don't care about the Dark souls trip, you seem pretty high, so, hem, have fun (?)!

Hancock is a young ghoul and he never mentions FEV. Radiation alone makes you into a ghoul, it just doesn't happen instantly.

I always thought that was stupid and figured it was just a gameplay thing, so you weren't locked out of her exploration questline.

Actually its the other way around, Dark souls pays homage to Fallout.... Fallout came out, with ghouls in them, long before Dark Souls was even a twinkle in its creators eye. Dark souls released in 2012 while the first fallout game came out in 1997.... so Fallout was first and Dark Souls just pays homage to this.

I love Dark souls but this is a bit silly, don't you think?

The idea of ghouls in fallout has been around since before Dark Souls even existed.

Yep, same for me. Just pointing out how much they made things confusing with ghouls.
