I haven't seen a regular thread for this, so with my own shortages, I thought I should post one.

To kick it off - I'm always short on Oil, for building Turrets. Has anyone found a regular spawn for Oil materials?

Merchants. Seriously caps are rarely an issue. Just buy a shipment of oil everytime you see it. I was swimming in so much oil that I could have started Opec.

Oil, screws and adhesive. I can grow crops (or settlers can at least) and I can make that, what I call Glue Stew for adhesive. The others I just have to flag and search in ruins and such. I hate ever having to buy the stuff ... which you can buy in 25 unit bulk from the trader in Diamond City.

You can make oil at chemistry stations.

WHAT! Damn I've never even tried to use that station yet. Course for some reason Cait is using it all the time. My character just doesn't do drugs so I never bothered with it. Now I got to see if I can make oil.

No problem I use it to make my own Stimpaks and grenades as well. Completely self-sufficient, super quick leveling.

I keep losing grenades because I keep activating them by accident. Hit [Alt] does one thing. Hold [Alt] does another them. Hit [Alt] while using a scope does something else. Hell I'm tossing grenades all the time ... except when I really want to, then for some reason I can never get them tossed. Who the hell designed the PC IU anyway. It's total crap.

I'll have to give that station a try now though.

I hate that they don't allow us to bind our pistol whip to something different than grenades >_>

I personally use mouse 5 for bash/grenades but alt for breath seems hard coded
