8 endings!?!

They wouldn't have to, if they showed minor conversations such as they did for F4 you would have only seen 4 choices, hell if they showed the average conversation you would have only seen 4 maybe 5 choices.

I didn't say it was devoid of them, just that they aren't common. That's actually a true statement, you see very few conversations with more than 4-5 options, though the ones that are present tend to be large immersive trees. I said nothing about the quality of the trees that are present, merely pointed out they aren't as common as people like to pretend.

**edit: unless you're referring to how a single option would every now and then simply lead to more responses on the same topic line, in which case there is no difference between that and how the 4 buttons probably function. After all Bethesda did have the exact same kinds of branching topics in F3. **

Mate, don't make me download FNV just to prove that at least half of the NPCs in Goodsprings has more than 4 options in dialogue at some point.

I really like how this forum is full of people who claim something and just to be sure follow up with "THIS IS THE TRUTH". Funny,

Ah, so excusing lack of options in F4 with "but it's the beginning, it will get better later!" is one thing, but then when I want to use the beginning of FNV as an example that it simply has never been like that, suddenly "well of course there will be more dialogue in the beginning!"

Well done! :D

That horse isn't even alive yet, and I want to see what's inside of it.

Actually the argument would be "Bethesda doesn't use a tutorial town like Obsidian does to beat you over the head with the basics of the game, particularly not one you start in"

The comparable would be the Vault 101 in F3, but once again you aren't beat over the head with characters telling you how to play the game like in NV.

**edit: I seriously wish there was accurate numbers out there for NV, I forgot how tedious this game had become after 200+ hrs put in.**

If there's an ending where I help out raiders, I would be too excited! I doubt that though since you could never help raiders in any previous Fallout games.

I agree, the ending is more likely four splits probably main quest and the faction quest.

However this will generate changes in the game world, who persist after you do the quests.

Raises an interesting option with the new settlement system. Let have multiple raider tribes, each having 1-5 bases. Now they will generate problems for your settlement, killing them will cause them to respawn later or perhaps another band moves in. Yes dismantling the base might help. However that if you bribed the raiders, or scared them or helped them and you now have an buffer state.

If only we could be like some kind of Attila or Genghis Khan who united the different tribes, both raider and our own settlement's people, and conquer everyone else in Boston...

It would be kind of refreshing to have a full evil result, instead of a stupid evil one like in F3(FEV) or FNV (CL).

Much conjecture.

Who ?

You ?

Because that is what you're saying all the time.

Everything you say is the truth and the others are liars and "10 year olds" .

And you're arrogant tone isn't helping you either.

I honestly hope they stop pulling numbers out of their unmentionables and let the players do the discovery, since apparently that's what Fallout is about these days.

Umm...yes they did...it's called Vault 101. At least you can immediately leave Goodsprings. How is that beating someone over the head with tutorials, when you can leave immediately as opposed to vault 101?

Note I have no problem with F3's tutorial, but your argument is just disingenuous and hypocritical and I had to call it out.

He's speaking truth though. People are constantly saying it's no different than previous Fallout games. I've posted several pictures in previous threads showing entire lists of dialogue in New Vegas with well over 4 choices.

Not to mention classic Fallout games had a feature where you can actually type your own question into the box and get hidden dialogue that can be found if you pay attention to the conversations.

How much do we know about the dialogues in FO4? Not much.

For exemple: We no longer need a 'Goodbye' or '[Shoot him in the face]' option anymore.
