Fallout 4 in game simulation

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 11:35 pm

Could you guys add a cool Fallout 4 sim where your character gets into a sim that's set in the 1800's or early 1900's? It would be cool to use our character with all his perks and at the end of the sim, items to complete the sim.

First question. Why?

Why would we do this and what would be the goal. They shouldn't add stuff because it's 'cool',but because it actually contributes to the gameplay AND makes sense within the storyline.

Again like I said in a previus thread, by now beth is not in a position to add things, this close to release they just want to make sure what they already have works.

There will be a place called "Memory Den" where you can go and have a "in-game" "VR experience", it's mostly about a "pre-war" experience where ppl can forget about the real world, kind of like a digital opium den.

That can only mean that you're in a VR, and we're just simulations.

Damn, I always thought my life was missing something - now I know what it is. Reality :(.

:D

Seriously, though, if the "Memory Den" is a VR system it might make it a lot easier to mod something like this in (by providing the VR pod coding and art assets), for those who want to make slightly off-the-wall mods. Sort of like creating a game within a game. Want to make a swords-'n-sorcery RPG? You can in Fallout 4 :)!

Ok, extremely off-the-wall.

I'm not sure about a historical simulator but something akin to Tranquility Lane would be very exciting. Just, involve more interaction and less killing.

Yeah, that's basically what it'll be, *touches forehead* I foresee a quest where some NPC is worried about their spouse/friend who's "stopped living in the real world", and you need to go into the VR and "wake" that NPC up, convince the NPC to get back into the real world where real ppl who care are waiting.

Yea, this might all be a hologram, but then maybe everything is, but if you are aware of your existence, at least that is real, your existence that is, and maybe that's all there actually is, existence, the most fundamental thing in "existence".

What fate that is, something has to exist, and that thing is you, the existence of a "mind", it's what we all share and have in common. Existence is having an eternal dream, playing hide and seek with itself, through space and time it can chase its own tail,it hides in me and you and everyone, "the total amount of minds in the universe is ONE", "God is "within".

Oh, yea, the game, the game in the game I mean, not this game. I forgot what I was talking about, memory is easy to lose.

"You'll never leave Boston alive!'

"By the Nine Divines... Is that, Power Armor? By the gods, what wouldn't I do for a set of that..."

Ooh, high quality gibberish - worthy of a philosopher :D

One nice idea for a mod accessed via VR pod would be a 'Defend Your Home Town' simulation, designed to boost morale by giving people the idea they could actually fight off invaders with home-made weapons and makeshift barricades. Twinned with a more realistic 'Resistance Warfare' simulation where you can't do serious damage to the enemy, but can practice sabotage techniques on an anonymous 'occupying force'.
