Supply Line Issue

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 9:23 pm

Hello,

I'm playing Fallout 4 on PC and I can't establish a supply line for some reason. I currently have the perks to establish one but don't see the option on Workshop mode. My understanding is that you can only assign to Settlers too. I'll be most thankful if anyone can shed some light on this issue. Thanks in advance.

in build mode go up to one of the settlers. there should be a supply line option. Once set to provisioner ( that is what they are called afterwards) they still count toward your settler cap in that town just an fyi

Unfortunately, that is the exact issue. I don't have the Supply Line option.

Some settlers with specific names and some companions cannot be assigned to a supply line. If their name just says "Settler" the option should be there.

plus you have to have another settlement to go to as well, which if you have played longer than an hour should be easy to have. if it is still not there doublecheck your perks I believe you have to have the leader whatever perk lvl 2 to setup the supply line

Try tabbing back, once you select them, and look for the 'Q' option (on keyboard controls), it's the one for setting up supply lines. I had the same problem.

Tried all that has been suggested. Still not showing Supply Line option.

Is the settler one of the characters in Sanctuary from Concord, ie the ones that came along with Preston? if so then these are unable to be set for Provisioners. You will need to recruit a new settler then assign.

2 things I had to figure out on my own after I got local leader - Names settlers are essentially useless unless they are farmers, they almost never do anything else to which they are assigned.

For the supply line, you don't actually select the settler, just 'highlight' them (don't CLICK then, just LOOk at them)... THEN there should be multiple options at the bottom - supply line, move, etc.

I think only the ones that arrive with preston are like that. I hired the nuka cola junkie from Diamond city( cant remember his name) and he works at the castle in my armour store. He does the job fine not like the slackers in Prestons group.

I read you need to have a bed free in the settlement. But I can't remember if it's the one the settler is already in, or the settlement you have assigned them to travel to as a provisioner.

I noticed that for Preston's group, they'll do the jobs you assign them even if they don't look like they are. For instance, I assigned Preston to guard duty. He'll still walk around pretending to fix houses, but if I highlight him in Workshop mode, the guard stations I assigned him to will light up and he'll still count toward my defense numbers. Same goes for Sturges (Scavenging Station), Jun and Marcy (farmers.) They rarely (or never in Sturges' case,) appear to do their assigned jobs, but they count toward the numbers all the same.
