since they are out of stock everywhere and i doubt they even came to canada at all (bestbuy seems to have "restocked" 6 times but its probably just a scam so they can refund everyone with store credit and thus getting sales on crap no one wanted at their store just because like they did with the Majora's Mask edition of the N3DS)

so when this game comes out what prices should i look for from ebay for pipboy edition ? unsure if i should cap at $300 or $500

It's your wallet. I personally wouldn't go over $200, but perhaps you have the luxury to pay more.

They should have put a limit on the number you could buy, was this a problem with FO3's collectors edition?

If I was interested in a pipboy edition (which I am not), I'd wait until 2016 and then I would start looking for used ones, put on sale by disappointed customers.

As others have mentioned, The CE doesn't affect your installation or in-game experience in any way. So if you are unable to get one, I'd just get the regular edition, wait until the game's been out for a while, then buy the pip-boy on ebay once the scalpers have moved on and people are tired of their new toy.

If you're desperate for one, the UK still has PC versions available. Don't know how much it'd cost to import to Canada from UK. Still probably cheaper than what scalpers are after. Don't know if it'll work either but still....

I had to get my Borderlands 2 CE from Germany but then again, it's fairly cheap to move goods through the EU.

I'd max at about $50, but that's just me....

There is this. I got both F3 and NV specials for ￡10 each last year. And not used versions either.

I preordered my Pipboy edition at the Bethesda Store and it already charged me full price+shipping so they better have more copying's...

Definitely didn't have any problem getting F3 or the NV special edition. The NV one I didn't even pre-order.. just walked into gamestop and asked if they had one. I've never had a problem getting any special edition... except this one. It must be because it was announced at e3. That's the only difference I can see. People saw that there would be a demand and immediately ordered up more than their fare share so they could turn around and try to make a profit.

Kind of sad. It's not like I immediately had 120 bucks laying around. Unfair to the poor unwashed masses who actually have to save up for stuff. Now I have to pretend I didn't really want it anyway to make myself feel better.

Oh, yeah, forgot to say.. I wouldn't pay anything for a scalped one. I don't like the idea that something can become an "instant" collectable. It makes it just meaningless and feel very un-special.

200 is what i paid for mine if u wait it will prob go way up and i agree that they should of limeted the number u can get and made more nv ce i waited a month and still got it fo4 i went as soon as i could and it was sold out didnt even have a chance to get it

Uhhh.. Canada did get them, and Gamestop re-stocked like 4 times (If you had their Edge card).

I wouldn't buy one from a scalper. Leave them with their unwanted toys; don't give them what they want.

Of course I work in a factory that provides me some ideal materials to pretty much make whatever replica I like, so I guess I've always got it in the back of my mind that I could just make one. It'd take a while, but I could.

No it wasn't, I got mine from the shelf of Best Buy weeks after release, and had no problem with the NV CE pre-order. . .ah FO3 era simpler times lol

I was lucky enough to catch the Beth store on a restock so I did get my FO4 CE, but If I didn't get lucky I would have been done with Beth CE pre-orders period. I refuse to purchase from scalpers so I can offer no advice on what to pay them for the CE for the OP. Sorry you weren't able to get one.

The Bethesda store did limit to one purchase per account/credit card.

FO3 was an unknown quantity prior to release. Nobody really knew how "Oblivion with guns" was going to turn out.

Granted, die hard Fallout fans were either going to buy it no matter what or were going to hold out for any dim hope that Van Burren still might happen....

They pulled the page after every time it sold out.

I missed the first day they hit the store page (like 4 days ago) I saw them come up the second day, and got mine, then watched the page disappear after they were sold out again, and watched it repeat that for the next 2 days after that.

I don't know why they didn't list it on the FB page, but I can assure you it's not some conspiracy to get you to buy other things you don't want.

Going store to store would have done nothing for you, as far as I know here in Canada at least nowhere got in store orders, it was all online sales.

if was all online only then i was screwed from start, currently dont have the funds to put full payment down at once was hoping pre order this month pay in full at end of it

You would have been in luck with an online Gamestop pre-order. The re-stock they did after day 1 sold out moved up to $149.00 or around there, but i too couldn't afford that right away.

I never pre-ordered online before this with Gamestop, but it allows you to put down the regular $5 deposite and pay for it as you please in store on or before release date.

I know it doesn't really help now, but it's a heads up for the future.

I missed all of the pip boy editions.
Scalpers can rot in hell before any of them get a single penny from me. I wish it would be that no one would buy them off of eBay, so said scalpers choke on them.
