On the other hand, if raiders wear armour as skimpy as they did in Fallout 3, such physics would really be rather distracting.

Certainly things like Nvidia Hairworks and AMD TressFX can be demanding, but to me the movement of both hair and dress in the trailer looked like Havok physics, which gives for much cruder results (but still way better than nothing if implemented well) but way less load. How much of the load they can shove off onto the GPU, or if they're still doing everything on CPU, I couldn't even guess.

Those lady raiders just have the Black Widow perk, giving them a distraction/damage bonus in combat with males :).

there might be though... there is a "body" slider option... though we dont know exactly what it does as it was never selected in the shown gameplay.. but i would imagine briast size would be in there if it truely is body options.. cus why wouldnt it?

O.o ... Isn't it more realistic, that in some situations a female character might not wear a bra, rather than assuming the female character is wearing their combat bra in each and every situation including gardening, cooking, sitting in the house or whatever people roleplay.

The games takes course over days, weeks, months afterall and we're not in combat all the time or even ... necessarily prepared for combat, when it happens.

In any case, one could make the same argument against more realistic hair. People in combat should be wearing helmets anyway.

My own humble personal oppinion. I'm for everything that increases realism and immersion.

The hypersixualised stupendously busty mod women aren't for me personally, but to each his/her own and regular people's boobs bounce too... As my sad pair of man ones can testify to.

Tho, if I have to priotize... In games I see alot more hair, than I do boobs and bulges, so start there. :D

PS: Sometimes realism is just realism, nothing to do with six.

It's not more realistic, because the feature of a character replacing his/her underwear, or not having underwear in the first place, is so minute that it wouldn't even affect the ripples of realism in the slightest bit.

Preston Garvey missed the memo on account of showing up to work with a tricorne. But this is a [censored] comparison anyways.

Sports bras are actually a lot more comfortable than underwire bras but don't look as good. I imagine in a post apocalyptic world you'd go for comfort and practicality over looks in most cases.

Sports bras are sold in every store that sells clothes pretty much. So if you can scavenge pre-war outfits, hats, etc...you'd be able to scavenge a sports bra ^.^

I welcome seeing hair and clothing movement. It will help the world seem less static and more realistic. As for briast movement, think about the era the game is based on, 1950's America and their vision of the future. If you have ever watched a '50s TV show or movie, their was little if any briast jiggling going on. The style of undergarments just simply did not allow the briasts to move. If we look at the clothing of the people of Fallout, it is clearly based on the same styles of clothing found in '50s America, and therefore would indicate that the undergarments would be the same as well.

I would also say to watch an episode of Madmen. Although set in the '60s, if any briasts were to jiggle or bounce, it would have to be Joan Harris's, and they never move. So briast bounce in FO would NOT be realistic in my opinion.

Wow, I really can't believe I just typed all of that....

O.o ... What is a ripple of realism? Whats immersion breaking or realism ruining is highly subjective. As an example the most glaringly immersion ruining thing about mass effect 3, for me, is the illogical explanations given in the ending.

Is being dressed for battle 100 percent of the time realistic or heroic vs. not being dressed for battle 100 percent of the time being realistic or heroic? Whaat?

True enough, but certainly not everyone wears them constantly. Eg. like home, cooking, gardening whatever light stuff, that people might potentially roleplay. :)

The ME3 immersion issue is big because the game was built on the fundamentals of having a good story arch. The fallout universe was not built on the immersive experience of a character's undergarments, and whether they slip in and out of them during their break time.

It's a small detail but a nice one to have. I'd missed it when I watched the trailers. It will add some life to the rather static looking hair and clothing of past Bethesda games.

It was my subjective biggest problem with me3. Others disliked the game on the basis of any number of reasons to varying degrees: That they couldn't bang their favorite character, that their boyfriend basically cheated on them, sticking to cover, sticking to cover poorly, that what was said didn't match the dialogue option, that the game ignored or minimized the effect of previous decisions, no happy ending and so on and so on.

Certainly, it is not a great leap, that if someone can find swaying hair, ejected clips, shadows, drinking water, cooking, crafting, weather, 3d graphcs, smoking and any number of details... more or less important to their immersion and definition of realism, then realistic bodies could be added to that list. o.O

PS: I just did a wholly unrepresentative sampling of modern music videos. Certainly bodyparts shaking is as important as whats being said these days :D ...

PPS: Again personally? I see more hair in the game, so more realistic (leading to hair) comes first... but that comes after a better selection of main character hair and beard styles... which comes after well better shadows, which comes after eg. settlement system. It's pretty far down on the list, like smoking.

See, the difference between the things you listed and undergarments, is that they reinforce realism - constantly. Shadows, ejecting clips, swaying hair etc. You will, without a doubt, see it more times than the undergarments of the PC you play or the enemies you loot. They have this active and prolonged effect on not just the player but also on the surrounding environment that the player wades through.

You can add realistic bodies to that list, but I thought this discussion was about whether someone wears a bra or undergarments in their off hour duties?
