Do I need a perk or something to do it? Do I need a pylon? A switch? What is it? I'd like to start building up my settlement but this has wasted over an hour of my time.
I built two medium generators for a total power of 10 and connected them to each other, but it will not let me connect them to to the tower. Do I need to run it through the switch leg?

just to power up the radio build a generator next to the radio station and connect a wire from gen to ceramic connector next to the radio, to power up the water purifier you need a second gen [because water purifier takes more power] and connect a wire from generator to a short pylon thats located inside the castle area up against a wall, its close to the middle area but up against the wall
