Hey gang so I finally got to the point where I got mccready to talk about his past and DC. While I was a little disappointed by what he had to say it did get me to thinking. Is he the only person that we know of who has come into contact with different fallout heroes?

First I admit I have never played FO1 and my memory of FO2 isn't the greatest. The time span between the first 2 games and fallout 3 pretty much ensure that those heroes didn't meet any of the same people. According to a lore video I watched it claimed it would take months for someone to travel from coast to coast and considering just how dangerous that trip would be it is highly unlikely many would attempt or succeed but not impossible. Now i have not finished FO4 nor even close to meeting everyone but so far I have not found anyone from NV or even the west coast. Maybe a BoS member but I have not met any that I remember from NV. Does this matter at all to anything? well no it doesn't but I thought it was interesting that there is someone who met 2 important people of this era and he has no clue. Then again is the SS really that special.

President Tandi of the NCR and the Supermutant Marcus met the Vault Dweller and The Tribal.

There are two more characetrs in FO4 who met both the Lone Wanderer and the Sole Survivor.

And of course we can't forget Harold, a Ghoul who has met the Vault Dweller, The Tribal and the Lone Wanderer (he is now a tree in Capital Wasteland).

There are probably more, but these ones come to mind.

Not sure if its just coincidence but McCready and MacReady sound the same but spelt differently. So? Well R.J MacRready, from the 1982 movie the Thing. And? The U.S covert operation manual in the game is titled "Who goes there". Who goes there is the novella of John W. Campbell and is what the movie "The Thing" is based off of .

Its has been years since i played FO3 but wasnt Little lamplight purely optional so McCready didnt necesary meet the hero from FO3(and thats probably why he never mentions him/her cuz there is no way for the game to know if you meet him there or not)

McReady was a teenager when he met some wandering Wastelander who helped in Little Lamplight. He's probably met hundreds of similar wastelanders since, the LW wasn't that special (to him). Why would he mention it?

Kellog came from the NCR, but you're too busy shooting him to ask about it lol

I think it wasn't optional as you need to go through it in order to reach the Supermutant Vault.

Yea you definately need to meet mcready to get the GECK...otherwise try to go directly to the vault, the radiation kills in a matter of seconds...I tried it once and made it maybe 50 yards..
