I really hope it won't get cut again- I can't play NV in english and without a special uncut exe many mods don't work.

As far as it known until now, Bethesda tries to release an uncut version of Fallout 4 in Germany.

And we can really hope it will be uncut!

Reasons: Fallout NV - Ultimate Edition was uncut.

This happens usually through re-evaluation by the BpjM, as well as the USK.

And as far as latest USK statements are going, they learned. They left their 'lil '90s hole and are going with the time by now.

Wich also means: Young people are growing up faster nowadays. The digital world, as well as it's contents, is all around and the USK/ BpjM need to react.

Therefore I think it's highly possible we will see an uncut Fallout 4.

For not germans: We do have these Agencies in order to check if a media is suitable for the audiance.

The audiance is determined by age (similiar to the ESRB). Unfortunately, even if a media is rated 18+ (wich would be M=Mature) it still can get cut.

No one knows why they are doing this, but I think it's the same stupid idea as "restricted erotic" in america.

You guys have blood and splatter, we have boobs. A loss on both sides ;).

NV was cut? what passible could they have cutted here? Just as fallou 3 is was pretty much a game for little kids. But i agree, german sync usualy so very bad, even german games have horrible sync so that i as german speaker had to change to english sync to enjoy the game.

back in the 90s, red blood was the no go, then in the 2000s severed limbs on humanoids/humans. in between NV's original release and the GOTY release, the german authorities eased up on severed limbs. the german publisher asked for a reevaluation of the game (which was then easy, because all content was already available and both exes (original and german cut) existed. it was just a question of which to press on the disk/upload to steam. also back in the day, an 18+ rating was a death sentence already, nowadays, 18+ is fine, but getting on "the list" is not. getting on the list is pretty hard though (Wolvenstein did it with it's Nazi symbols, which are illegal in Germany)

the original release is always tricky though, because the game isn't finished until too close to the release date. too little time for slow german authorities to "propperly" evaluate a game. therefore, we often see preemptive cuts for a german version still, in hopes the game gets a favourable age rating quicker. though with steam being the defacto standard, it's also possible to release in a cut state and wait for the final ok to release it in a patch two weeks later i suppose.
