Possible Companions

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 5:53 pm

Aside the two that are confirmed, the dog and the robot who else do you think will be joining the sole survivor? And considering the game has enough background to port characters from previous games, I thought it may be interesting to speculate.

Personally I hope to see Desmond Lockheart as the ghoul companion (from Point Lookout). Also I suspect the woman in the arena who offs some poor sod could also be one of the companions. I also expect an adroid companion.

Feel free to let your imagination run wild.

Well, in the combat section of the E3 presentation we briefly saw that the PC was fighting alongside a Super Mutant. I don't know if it was a permanent companion or not, but it would be interesting to have another mutant follower.

Yeah they'll most likely stick to tradition, having each companion be similar with the other Fallout games.

Rawrn, son of Frean, daughter of Goris.

If there are no talking Deathclaws I'll cry.

Seeing as the game will be in New England, I'm expecting a lobster in a fisherman's outfit.

God - NO!

I don't even like that the PC is married and has a child (I love the blank slate most RPGs offer!)

greetings LAX

ps: I want to be able to play as a playboy again (like in New Vegas, where you had some options to sleep with NPCs)

There has to be a synth as a companion.

But maybe you don't know it is synth.

So every time you get a new companion, you will have to wonder....

why its possible cause you get to customize your spouse and he/she is playing a huge part in the story. why not add him/her as a companion later in the game? or perhaps shaun will be a companion. just imagine you and your son wandering and kicking through the wasteland. isnt that just as appealing as having codsworth around?

1) a Dog

2) a mister handy (Codsworth)

3) a Ghoul

4) A super mutant

5) at least 1 faction related companion (a BOS paladin)

6) a Synth

All in all, I want most of them have interesting backstories and even quests I can do for them (ie FONV)

My picks:

*Mr. House. Non-Securitron form.

*Harold - They somehow found a way clone/revive the character. Possibly "a Harold" that grew from one of his spores.

*A child Companion. Weak but cannot be killed. Can be kidnapped tho. Cries like a little sister if your character dies.

*A pack Brahmin. Weak but can carry 450 pounds of equipment.

What robot is confirmed? Wadsworth or is it a different one?

This. I would enjoy this very much. Sadly I don't think it will happen. The talking deathclaws were all living in a vault in California. Unless the canon ending for them in Fallout 2 was the player didn't fix their vault so they ended up having to leave, I don't see why any of them would walk all the way to Boston.

This group looks likely, though it seems like there ought to be another human in there somewhere (course the Synth could be thinking it's a human).

There probably will be another human. My list more a prediction than anything else. I suspect the final cast of companions will be comparable to FO3s list but I hope theres a bit more depth in terms of backstory and personality for FO4

Hahaha! Awesome....

As for companions, what about a suit of power armor that is controlled by an AI.

While it's too early to make any specific guess, generally it's pretty certain you'll see pretty much all of the following:

-dog (already confirmed; though hopefully they'll stick to the formula of the dog being an additional companion to whatever humanoid companion you've got)

-Codsworth (already confirmed)
-a synth (given how big a role they're going to play, I can't see how this won't happen)

-a ghoul (2/2 in the previous games as an option)

-a super mutant (again, 2/2 in previous games)

Beyond that, I'm hoping for:
-someone from the Minutemen

-your spouse (assuming they're alive)

-someone 'evil karma' related (institute, slaver, etc)

I want an indestructible mostly useless child companion like Pino from Ergo Proxy that's slightly annoying, but too cute to abandon, and always wandering off, getting lost, finding trouble, and ... sometimes, on rare occasion, finding stuff and places that can only be found by having a slightly annoying, mostly useless Pino companion.

:)

You'll be crying...

I'd love to have Goris back but it's quixotic at this point.

OT:

I'd expect a lot of conventional archetypes, ghoul companion, super mutant companion and raider-esque etc.Maybe one or two faction affiliated companions like star paladin cross in Fallout 3.

I am kind of an oddball if you must know, I don't want to get married (I think it's damned stupid - I know what happens when parents are divorced after all -.-) and I don't want children, so the game places me in a role (husband and father) that I don't want to fill -.- and it takes away roleplaying options (while I more or less play self-inserts I still give them a bit of background in my head...can't really do that now, can I?)

greetings LAX

I've said this before in other threads, but my hearts desire for a companion is an overly optimistic female mechanic.

Unlike The Doctor and his quest for a blonde in a Union Jack, I actually did wake up one day with a craving
