Characters/guns in cut scenes?

Post » Sun May 30, 2010 12:08 pm

I believe i read somewhere that you character can be seen in a cut scene as-is and not the defualt. Also that if you have friends that are playing with you and you reach a cutscene thwn their customized character is also in the cutscene. so my quustion is: is it true that your cuztomized character and/or your friends characters can be seen in the cutscenes with all of their cuztomization including the guns?

It would be a cool idea, but they also have main characters (those part of the story) so I don't think your friend's characters would be in the cutscene only yours.

As for it being true, I know as much as you do with that kind of information. It's only a few months away so more tidbits should trickle out.

That is correct. Your 8 man team will all be your character and the other players in the game.

Even story based characters? Like Sgt. *Insert Name* for instance? Or will your friends characters just change their appearance? Voice overs will probaly remain the same.

i have no idea about this.but in my opinion i dont think it would work. like maybe your character and your friends character replace the 2 soldiers on teh side but teh Sgt. guy doesnt change.

Yea, thats what I thought aswell... wouldn't make sense for a major character to be changed like that.

As Wraith says:

It is confirmed that every character can take a role inside the cutscenes. Some players will randomly (I guess) be the"main" characters others might not. It is unclear how this will work out exactly.

If you play singleplayer, you will always see your character and the seven others are always the same.
If you play multiplayer, it doesn't really matter. You might not even follow the story. It's a cool extra to keep the interests of players, and to do something while the game loads the map. It's also an opportunity to show your teammates how bad-ass your character is.

nice this system will prob workout pretty well if its what you said. also when you say: in single player you will see you and the other 7 characters will be the same. when you watch the container city series paul wedgewoods character is not in teh ending cut scene. maybe its just THAT specific cutscene or maybe its set default.

Those videos were an early build. More ideas and changes were made since then.

This is what the compendium says:

- If you're playing solo, you'll see the same guys in the opening and closing cutscenes. If you're online, the guys in the cutscenes will actually be the characters of the people you'll be playing with.

Good topic kid. There's so many games that have a deep customization system that switch to some default character and weapon and character during cutscenes. And that's kind of lame. And seeing you and your whole team is going to be awesome.

Basicly, in multiplayer every character is assigned one spot in the story-line. So this character is always the same throughout that part of the story you're playing. If you are the one "hosting" the story, your character will of course play the main role.

That's pretty neat. Can't wait
