Sound issue menu issue

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 4:32 pm

specs:

AMD FX8350

DDR3 1333mhz 8gb kingston hyperX

ASUS Strix Nvidia GTX 970

Windows 10 pro 64bit

I'm getting some oddglitches which go as follows:

-gun sounds keep on playing, even i'm not shooting. This continues on for a few minutes til it suddenly stops.

-Jetpack sound keeps on playing even after i've landed, when you fly again it will play the same sound over the already playing sound. (happens from time to time, no real pattern)

This creates a very annoying echo jetpack sound which will not stop untill you get out of your power armor. (Issue remains continuesly, no matter the amount of game restarts)

-i'm not able to select apparell on my pip boy. No matter what i try, it skips over apparell. Tried it with power armor equipped and without. Simply cannot access that menu. (Permanent issue)

-I'm not able to sprint anymore, neither on xbox360 controller or keyboard. I've tried to see if i was crippled or caps lock toggle, nothing works. (Permanent issue)

These glitches happened after 30 hours of gameplay, the gun sounds were always an issue, but they weren't too frequent.

Noteworthy: i did use console command for the following:

-godmode

-spawning lost companions near me

-adding items

Are you using RealTek HD audio? Right click on the volume icon select playback devices. Right click on the default enabled playback device select properties then enhancements and check disable all sound effects. Also you could then click on the advanced tab and reduce the default format sampling rate to 24 bit, 48000 Hz (or even 44100 Hz) if it's not already set to that (I think RealTek defaults to 192000Hz, haven't used it for a long time since I have an XFi Titanium Pro PCIe1). I don't know for sure if it will help (it's closer to Xbox sampling rate). You may also find other special effect settings through the RealTek audio control panel application if there is one.

I recall in New Vegas lots of problems were solved by reducing the audio sampling quality. It's worth a try.
