So, I am now missing Dogmeat after sending the loyal pup to Sanctuary from Fort Hagen. He got attacked by turrets so I had to defeat those and then he started running on top of the roof and came back down after. I managed to get ahold of him and sent him to Sanctuary.
I 'fast traveled' there and he's not found, so I've decided to 'sleep' for 2 days and built a dog house and he's still not arrive. I checked the settlement for any more dog houses and they're all gone except the one behind my guy's original, pre-war house.
It's obvious he's stuck or he got into a fight and he's injured and needs me to find him and so, I've got a simple way for the DEVs to help us.
I ask that Bethesda kindly makes us an item called a dog whistle or a dog ID tracker and it won't be something we'll stumble into, but something that will be put to other player's attention directly. The next time you go into a settlement or 'fast travel' to any location, a NPC called a "tracker" will come up to us, stop us and let us know that if we happen to lose our dog, we can use a dog whistle or dog scanner and it will scan the dog chip in his neck.
Basically the DEVS would create an item that pinpoints the dog's location in-game and let us go find him. We can take him on as our companion and 'fast-travel' to Sanctuary and make him stay there.
Thoughts?
