I have a glitch that does not let me proceed with the main story. I started doing the Taking Independence quest where you have to kill Queen Mirelurk and a bunch of other mirelurks. I wasn't strong enough to kill the queen yet so I went off to do the main story. I got to the point where you are supposed to meet Nick Valentine at the Dream Room to talk to Dr. Amari. Preston was with me the whole time along with Strong because I hadn't completed the minutemen related quest yet.

I went to go talk to Dr. Amari without Nick Valentine and she wouldn't do anything so I went off to find him. Turns out he is at the Castle. I did a bunch of other quests in the meantime and became strong enough to kill the queen. I cleared all the eggs and mirelurks from the Castle. But previously, Nick was there just shooting a pile of eggs when I found him. Now that the eggs are gone he just stands there and shoots at literally nothing.

Dr. Amari wont talk to me because I don't have Nick with me and Nick just keeps telling me to talk to Dr. Amari. I've tried everything to get him out of this loop and at this point I do not know what to do because now I can't continue the story
