Does Fallout 4 only output stereo audio?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 4:20 am

Hi!

EDIT: After some testing I found out that anolog multi channel audio works. So it seems like a problem with DTS.

Have been searching around the net and no info about this.

The problem is that I only have stereo in game. Threw grenade and turned around and sound only from front speakers. Surround 5.1 works nicely in Dying Light, Borderlands 2, Far Cry 3. Heck! Even Fallout 3 has surround sound =D.

My system outputs 5.1 via spdif (optical) using DTS Interactive. But this shouldn't matter since other games are working flawlessly.

Any info on this? Or are you all playing just in stereo?

Sorta works, dialogues in center if your hears are pointed towards the speaker, rest of sound on other speakers, but it cuts out in the middle of the dialogue so majorly bugged...My 7.1 went to quad then became 2 little indians *shrugs* no other way to hear dialogues and surroundings correctly. So much for full immersion.

How is your setup connected? anolog multi channel or digital coax/spdif?

I did some testing and found out that surround actually works with the anolog multi channel outputs.

anolog, in multi for 7.1, 5.1, quad; the dialogs sound cuts off during a conversation or when listening to anouncer on the radio (dialogues for the game I'm guessing) and you need to turn hears towards someone that's speaking to hear him well. You saying you got that resolved?

Personally having the issue where it doesn't really play the sounds from the front. Well it does but they're super quiet, can't hear anything

Dno wth, tried changing from 7.1 to 5.1 because of it but it didn't solve anything.

Got no clue whats happening, using headset that i'm sure that has surround so i doubt thats the issue. :l
