I really need help. In one of my encounters with Mama Murphy she asked me to build her a chair so I did. Apparently I flinched when I placed the chair because the chair was not where I intended to put it. I talked to her and she thanked me for the chair. The next time I went back I couldn't find her anywhere until I accidentally came across her in the construction mode. Her chair was in the ceiling in a house and she was sitting in it. I couldn't get to her to complete a dialogue when I talk to her about her next vision. I can't move the chair down because she is sitting in it. I try to get her to go somewhere but I can't do that either. How can I get her out of the ceiling? And no, I can't get to her from the roof either.

the only things i can think of would be loading a previous save, or glitching though the roof to get to her

i was able to glitch though the wall in hangmans alley by placing stairs down in the open, then placing the concrete foundation close to it and highlighting the floor (not the stairs) and holding E/ A/ X to multi select them, as the shack is designed to go though the ground, it give a bit more leniency to collisions, meaning you could place the stairs hlafway though a wall, then walk up to them, pick them up, walk to the wall and cancel the pickup. i should plop you though the wall, if you do it right.

Use the bell that you can use to call your followers, then when she moves, move the chair. If that fails you might want to look at console commands to move characters.

u can fix it trow console command, happen to me with preston one time.

TCL in the console toggles collision

that's a bug. half my settlers in Sanctuary were stood on the roof once, I couldn't get them down, I had to build steps up to go and talk to them. Next time I went there, they were down but different settlers were on the roof. (It's a bug with the furniture, if an NPC sits down and then stands up, it puts them on the roof rather than in front of the chair.)
