How do you get rid of diseases? : Fallout 4

So i was playing today and entered vault 81, which *small early game spoiler*
After you find a childs cat, a quest tasks you with finding a cure. In the end you can choose to keep the cure for yourself or use the only one on a child. So i saved the child, yey.
But i got a "molerat" disease -10HP buff that even a doctor wont rid for me.. Any ideA how or is this permanent?

use your medical aids, eat and/or sleep. If all else fails, then visit a doctor.

Haha, why did you think you only got one dose? You do get the option to take it yourself you know.

Sorry buddy, you will never be disease free.

But then again, its not a big debuff, and you did the noble thing!
