Animator Needed

Post » Sun May 30, 2010 10:07 pm

Hey, we need an animator to animate a Matchlock Musket that one of our team members has made. So we need it animating so it looks proper when the player and other NPCs hold it and fire it and reload it, also if its possible to add a smoke effect for when its fired as there was alot of smoke when it was fired, either PM me or head over to our forums if you can Help, heres a few pics of the Musket....

You do know that the thing you're asking for here is very hard to do? It requires a whole new set of player animations, both for 3rd and 1st person. And it requires some complicated OBSE scripting to implement the animations without breaking the existing ones. You need skills only few people have and even if you had the skills it would take a huge amount of time to do it properly. Additionally to all that guns aren't exactly number one priority for most people who play a 'traditional' fantasy game with swords and magic. Just have a look at TESNexus - how many working gun mods that are not just a staff that looks like a gun have been released in almost four years? Zero.

If your mod makes heavy use of guns it would be much easier to do it for Fallout.

Yea well its a TC set in The English Civil War so guns play a small part as swords and pikes etc were still heavily used, I'm just thinking if its possible the Blunderbuss mod over on TESNexus if we could use the animation that they use from that, with the makers permission ofcourse

The Blunderbuss mod is a staff that looks like a gun. There are no new animations.

Oh so thats not a new animation, hmm it looks very good, we'll probably use that animation for it then, thanks for that I had no idea that that was a staff animation
