[WIP] Necessities of Morrowind 3.0 - Thread 2

I think that is a great idea (the time passing and the community cameo patrons - I'm gonna work out one for me and my fiance and get them to you as soon as I can)! I may need to add a couple other mods to my list that do similar things (like Jac's Passing Time while Reading for instance) and make them work into my list :)

A line to alter the time could be included directly into the cooking scripts, and could even depend on WHAT was being cooked. In the case of Alchemy, the actual code that's used is built into the game .exe and unavailable......perhaps another task for the MCP?

It's two different things unfortunately. Making a potion is an action encoded in the program files, so it isn't detectable directly by a script. Cooking, on the other hand, is an entirely new addition made completely by scripts, so I can check for it easily. :)

Then how was the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6750 mod achieved? Opening a book is hard coded too, isn't it?

Yes, but you can attach scripts to books that run when they're open; you cannot attach a script to the potion making process. I also don't think there's a script function that determines when a player is making a potion.

I'm glad you like it. :)

The inspiration for flowing time while cooking came from your flowing time while reading. :)

Ok, I'm opening the third thread...
