Pip-Man Fever! What Pip-Boy games should there be?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 12:24 am

Seeing how the pipboy is modeled on the C64 - I would like to see some of the C64 games that I played in the 1980's - eg: Jumpman , Boulderdash, Bombjack, Commando, Impossible mission, Killed until dead, Pitstop II, Montezuma's revenge, Choplifter, and some good C64 demoscene programs.

with the monochromatic display, the games might come more after the sinclair zx spectrum actually, that's games tendentially had some typical pretty monochromatic look to them (even though the spectrum technically wasn't, but sprites were 1col only, and in "high res", there only could be one color every 8*8 or 16*16 pixels (not sure anymore)

(the same (monochromatics) is true about early atari or intellivision consoles etc of course)

What about that factory truck loading Game & Watch game with a Nuka~Cola theme? A lot of G&W games could work, really.

Having another look at the pipboy games - The graphics remind me of the Apple 2 computers from high school -They had the green screens and similar looking graphics.

What a brilliant idea! I really hope they include something like this. It may even be something that could work via the app!

...or, if you switch to amber, the good old commodore pet (that's short for Personal Electronic Transactor, kids :-))

- which would also have the same type of crystal ball bulge display

(users too young to have seen any of these machines irl can get a good impression of what it was like to look into a computer screen then by laying the oldest cell phone they can find on a table and putting a glass bowl over it :-)

edit: ah yes, and turn the lights off and light a candle, to emulate screen flicker :-))
