Adjustable WALK speed for PC keyboard users please

Arguably, this is how a backpack should work, but I don't see backpacks doing anything more than adding to your max carrying capacity. If you had to manually load items into a backpack that you could then drop, no one would use it.

Perhaps, but, I'm adding it to list of features that may be worthwhile modding.

We've also yet to see what hardcoe mode might have to offer, or, if there is a hardcoe mode, and if so, if it's monolithic, or, gives selection of hardcoe options to toggle on/off.

I've some fuzzy optimism based on what we've been shown so far in respect that player customization seems to have been embraced in this release, so, if that trend is fairly universal throughout the game, then, there's likely to be sufficiently more than armor, weapons, and settlement building on the list of things and stuff and features that can be customized by a player.

Then also, as stated, there's mods for more :)

Just saying, we normally just go full throttle 99% of the time :P

the one thing about it i'm not happy with is how, when you're walking with some npc, speeds will almost never match (so you could just lock-walk and lean back).

with the mouse wheel already used for 1st/3rd person though, adapting speed likely would be more of a fuss than constantly having to adjust

(cursor up down might work well though)

Just saying, there are different kinds of players out there. Some of them are like you who go full throttle 99% of the time. But there also are many like myself who would go an extra mile to get immersed as much as possible

Actually..... I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to manage what you want with a script extender.......

don't think that'd need an extender... (and plenty mods that do pretty much that anyway)

still, it's just not the same as just having it in the game :-)

Can the stock scripting capture the mouse wheel?

I would assume.... (yeah, I know, dangerous.....) that the scripting is going to be VERY similar to Skyrim. I.E. External script engine, running papyrus..... Is the capability already there?

i certainly hope so, wouldn't want to learn a new scripting language for every new game :_)

there's a couple functions to get keys etc, but i haven't done anything along that lines myself so far, so i can't tell for sure.

...but if you're bored, you can http://www.creationkit.com/Category:Papyrus :-) (scroll down)

Yes, I agree.
Have the wheel allow us to adjust the speed.
Have F(hold) + wheel to allow us to zoom in 3rd person.
Problem solved.
