Will fallout get a steam "Pre-Download" before release?

Will people who ordered the CD version get the CD versions early if so??? so we can install it early? for release?

Physical copies are never released before the launch date, often because its hard to code a prevention. Digital is another matter and I would guess it would happen, its still a ways to go to launch, so beth aint gonna talk.

I was very sad back in 2011. My pre ordered Skyrim arrived 2 days before release but I could't unlock it on Steam

Very likely this will happen as we support it with other titles. When something like this would begin is TBD.

This discs will arrive or be available in stores on November 10th.

What on earth is wrong with a pre-download!? It's not like we can play it early, we still have to wait until midnight or whenever it unlocks, just like everyone else. Preload is just so we don't have to spend hours downloading the whole thing after it's already released.

Witcher 3 might have been an exception, since it was a DRM-free title. Almost everything on Steam allows preload for people who pre-purchased, but the game isn't playable until release.
