Xbox Live arcade fallout 1 and 2

For a loooong time, and still today in a lot of respects, PC gaming and console gaming are two different cultures. The games were so different in style, tone and gameplay before the Xbox that it made a lot of sense for people to be one or the other. I know I personally never played a console until the Xbox came out.

Now that the platforms have merged quite a bit, it makes sense for older PC games to be released on consoles for console-only games to experience them.

I'm aware of that, I've been playing console games for as long as I've been playing PC games after all. It wouldn't kill console gamers to play PC games, though; just as it wouldn't kill PC Elitists to play console games. Folks will always have their preferences, I prefer PC gaming, but just because you prefer one platform does not automatically mean that you have to hate another. I find console wars ridiculous for the exact same reason.

I agree in essence... as soon as I saw games my style coming out on the Xbox and such I got into consoles. That said, not everyone is the same as us. I'm not really arguing people should stay on one gaming platform and never switch or use both, I am just saying a lot of people do not do so, and there is a market there for PC classics those people will never play.

I have mentioned playing FO1 and FO2 to console gamers before only to hear them say "if it comes out on consoles I will" and the like. They don't care that any PC now can run them, they don't associate PCs with gaming, right or wrong.

Most of the time selling things is more about identifying trends and thoughts in the market, rather than knowing what is best or right.

Wow, that level of stupidity amazes me, heh. Ah, gamers these days.
