Whenever I get into power armor, immediately I begin taking 20 rads per second, regardless of whether there's anything radioactive nearby, and I continue taking rads after I leave the suit. Reloading doesn't fix anything, the only way I've found to solve the issue is to fast travel somewhere. And this happens with every suit of power armor I've tried.

Anyone else get this? Any way to fix it permanently?

Update: it also happens when I edit my character at a stylist or plastic surgery shop. I cannot sit down and exit fast enough before the rad damage kills me.

Try to fast travel.

If you don't get any radiation damage, make a new save, and load that save then.

It's a temporary workaround. It may, or may not work for you...

That works, but the rad damage comes back by entering/exiting power armor, by editing my character at a store, or sometimes by starting the game.

Yes, i know...unfortunately that's sort of a workaround.
