Survival Mirelurk Queen Legendaries Over tuned?

Doesn't it seem like the Mirelurk Queen fight is a bit overtuned for the level you get it at? Clearing the castle was easy if not tedious but the Queen stepped the fight up by 100 out of nowhere. Leaving if she is so tough doesn't really seem plausible because the last of the minutemen down in the final fight. At level 15 in power armor every one of her acid attacks was a 1 shot. Her melee attacks were a one shot as well. It didin't make the fight hard it just made it flat unfair. 3 luncbox mines, 2 frag mines and a nuka grenade all direct hits did 1/3 of her health. 2 critcal hit missles, and a full flamer tank with 2 crtical hits all under the + crit damage perk got about another third. Finally molotov spam of 7 and 3 frags finally got her. I was a full melee build and I couldn't melee once. A fight where every attack is a one shot ( one of which has homing capabilties and splash!) was very lame.

Legendaries don't feel as bad as that Queen fight but why do they have to get a full heal? It's bad enough when they do like 30% of my hp per bullet in power armor, but getting them to 10% hp and then watching them full heal is ridiculous. I had this happen to me as I stagger locked a legendary raider in a corner after pushing him there with molotovs. Suddenly he breaks my stagger with a full heal and full autos me dead.

I did the Mirelurk Queen fight last night as level 11. Just getting to the castle was tough enough. I ran past a lot of Mutants.

Was not expecting the Mirelurk Queen when she appeared. Got killed quickly, even though I had retreated 200+ yards from the castle for cover. There is NO cover from the toxic venom, except inside the castle walls, where dozens upon dozens of smaller lurks will come after you. You cannot destroy all of the eggs. Even the ones you do destroy will respawn when the queen dies. I thought this was a bit ridiculous. All of the minutemen died or left. If not for Codsworth killing the smaller lurks I never would have finished this fight. It took several attempts. First time I planted 8 mines near where the queen appeared and took her health down to half. I tried this method several more times but she came in a different route and avoided the mines. I used molotov cocktails as my primary weapon against her, and finished her with two rockets found in the castle. I had to then sleep for 2+ days to get the Minutemen back and finish the quest, for some XP, and one crappy piece of bandit armor.

I was pleasantly surprised by the mirelurk queens difficulty.

Legendary raiders are a huge joke if you use something like a Automatic Laser Musket* and use VATS for it.

I almost [censored] myself, when I got to the castle a mob of super mutants and raiders attacked me the same time, the mutand mob also had 2 Legendary Super Mutant Skirmisher Enforcers and the Raider mob 2 Legendary Raiders. The Mutants were a little tougher, but the raiders died in one VATS each.

After that I felt so invincible, just to meet the queen and die twice before defeating it in a combinatin of Fat Man (only had one nuke), Missile launchers (only 2 missiles) and broadsider.

I totally did not expect a boss like that, so I sold all my missiles previously...

I also planted mines where she came up at then I stood in the archway, using the walls for cover as a took pot shots and threw grenades and molotoves at her and funneled her lil minions into the castle and killed them as they came. She took out two of my minutemen pals. Killed me 6 times before I figured that out though.

It's not that bad of a fight actually. Done at Level 15

For the Mirelurks, shooting their bellies deal a lot of damage.

I happened to loot the castle as I went, and found a lot of missiles plus the ones I am carrying, and then a missile launcher. I was also in power armor because they did mention "Some sort of Sea Monster" as a tag line into the quest. Seeing that my guns weren't dealing much to it (with Rifleman's DR ignorance), I swapped to using the missiles.

They deal noticable damage to it, and does not seem to matter where you hit it. A direct hit takes a decent amount of HP off of it. So I retreated into the castle, and went up to one of the towers. Stayed inside of the hallway, told my companion to stay in the stairs.

After that, I just took pot shots at it, and that did the trick.

And for Legendaries... yeah they are kinda [censored], but I love it that way.
