I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I can't even locate a forum search function here.

I just bought a new gaming computer and I have been trying for two days to get my Steam account to work on this new PC.

I can't get past the error message about "fatal error, unable to load STEAMUI.DLL file" . I have gone on Google and tried the suggestions about simply locating the file in the my Steam directory, deleting it and trying again. But the same problem keeps occurring.

I get the impression that Steam support is non existent and won't be of any help. I am hoping that someone here can give me some suggestions on how to get past t his problem.

OR is there another way to play this game without Steam? I have the Disc and I'm stumped.

You can't play the game without validating it through Steam. Unless someone here can help you, you're going to have to contact Steam and put in a support ticket.
