is long island the new point lookout?

I've heard of an interesting area in Massachusetts called Hoccomok swamp, with nicknames like "the devil's swamp" it might be a good place for a DLC like this.

Personally I would want DLC to be an Expansion focused on New York City IMO. Although that does sound awesome.

Looking at it on the map and the settlement clips from the trailer, it might be in the base game as we see a swamp base in it and Hockomock swamp (googled it and thats the spelling it gave) is the largest swamp in the state and doesn't seem to be too far from boston.

New York City should be a own game and not just a DLC.

I would love to see some northern New England as a DLC. The deep backwoods and mountains of Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont would be really cool.

You may be right, but I would prefer it to be on an island. A lot of the creatures from Lovecraft are related to the sea, plus I just think the isolation of an island would make for a better location. That's just me though.

Salem is on the coast ;) And Salem has more relation to Lovecraft than Long Island... which has no relation to Lovecraftian lore.

Oh! Well good then! I didn't remember Salem being mentioned in the stories but honestly it's been a while since I've read them (I've actually started a reread). Also, I didn't know Salem was on the coast, thank you for enlightening me, as I'm fairly ignorant on the subject of the geography of Mass.

And considering how much Bethesda seems to love Lovecraft...
