February Game Informer Thread XV

I don't see any good reason why Skyrim should be a sequel on Oblivion! It was rumored before the announcement of Skyrim, so in my opinion it will have nothing to do with Oblivion or go further on it. (this is my opinion i ment no personal assaults with this) :)

The Oblivion story is pretty finished anyway. What do you want to had? Nirn is access off to the Daedra, Martin has become Akatosh' avatar, it's finished. It can't be a direct sequel, what would you add?

Well I'm not sure about what you're wanting to tell, that it's likely a direct sequel? Direct or not, we already know it's taking place after Oblivion. I think that means nothing, it could be directly after as it could be hundreds of years after, it was just told to help put the story in time. Plus, if you look closely at the carving, you'd see Akulakhan somewhere. As far as we know, it doesn't mean anything, maybe only important events that happened to the Empire to tell how fragile it has become, I don't know.

He originaly stated that Skyrim chronologicly coming after Oblivion was an opinion. I stated why It wouldent be during or before Oblivion. I was not arguing that it was a direct sequel or not. Though I would prefure it to be chronologicly after Oblivion but not a direct sequel.
