One of the videos released shows a target partially obscured by a doorway. If you wait long enough would the percentages go up as he clears the doorway while in VATS?
I think so, and another advantage to the new system is that you can move while in VATS mode. In previous games, the instant you activated VATS the game froze time, so if a foe happened to be behind a pillar when you activated VATS, you would have no chance to hit and would have to release VATS.
One of my favorite mods is a Bullet Time mod which acts like the Fallout-4 VATS seems to ---- it slows down time drastically but you can still move (slowly). With this mod, I was able to trigger Bullet Time and sliiiiiide around a corner, spot a target and aim up a shot while he was still just registering my appearance around the corner. So instead of rushing around the corner and THEN activating VATS and trying to see what was going on and hope that ~whoever~ was around the corner was not blocked by something.... I can assess the situation AS I slide around the corner (and potentially slide BACK into cover if there's a small army there ).
Yes, it will. Todd mentioned it in one of his interviews. VATS will be dynamic and we will have the ability to cancel our actions if they move behind cover, of if you just want to cancel.
I wonder how we'll be able to execute criticals outside of VATS. Do they just happen, or can we actually bank our "charged up" criticals for the right shot?
In the E3 footage, you see the percentages change as the Molerat moves, so take that as you will.
Has anyone confirmed yet if our character can crouch outside of sneak? Sneak you kinda just hunched over but this wasn't really like a "crouch behind cover" tactical option.
