FOV Slider

I know you have to go into console to change FOV do you think that they should give us a slider? Personally I don't care if they do or don't.

In the name of TotalBiscuit, I pray it does.

Beth is already invoking his wrath with the 30 FPS bit, so they'd be better off not ticking his other "this games is [censored]" box.

Man, screw TotalBiscuit. The guy pans a game purely on what he see's on the options menu rather than how fun a game is. His pretentious reviewer level is over 9000.

I've never seen him outright say a game is terrible from just a crap options menu alone, although I do think it colors his view a bit.

But anyways, sure. I would like an FOV slider. Sure you can do it in the console or with .ini tweaks but the games really aren't made with FOVs over 75 in mind and as such there's a lot of clipping. Hopefully FO4 will be different, what with its seeming focus on improved shooting mechanics but to be honest I won't hold me breath.

Oh, and FO4 is only going to be locked to 30 on console, so TB will probably not rage at that.

Depends on what the FOV already is. I've never had a problem with the FOV on past bethesda games so if it's the same... that's fine.

It's not limited to 30 frames per second on PC though, why would he be complaining?

FOV can likely be altered via an ini file setting as well.

Bottom line is that if an FOV slider is not already in the settings, I doubt they add it this late in development.

I'm playing on the console and I'm fine with it. As long as it's a steady 30.

I prefer it as long as the game play is steady and no screen tearing. The last thing I want to see is the game going up and down on the FPS.

Yeah, fully agree here.Would have prefered 60 but when you see New Vegas going at around 10fps or lower at times then a steady 30 would be a godsend.

The only reason we are at 30 is the 1080p native peeps. It it had been allowed to be dropped to something like 792p and upscaled to 1080p then I think they could have run it at 60fps like in some other games (Titanfall) but running it at 1080p is what the vocal gamers ask for.
