Interesting Weapon Mod

I was checking out the Reddit FO4 page when I saw a post showing a pip-boy image from the E3 presentation, and the inventory showed something I hadn't seen. A "bayoneted triple barrel missle launcher". This sounded pretty awesome so I thought I'd share it.

While it may raise a few eyebrows, it makes perfect sense. Unlike firearms, it is highly detrimental to the health of the shooter and not just the target to fire an explosive projectile weapon at point-blank range. Fitting a melee weapon to it solves the point-blank problem. Did a mutie survive the rocket blast and is still barreling at you? Pigstick 'em!

My guess is its the standard rocket launcher and both the triplet barrels and the bayonet is mods, well we know the later is a mod because it pops up during the gun mod video at E3, there even two different sized bayonets.

Doesn't it seem like using such a massive weapon as a melee tool would be clunky though? It would make more sense for the PC to whip out a knife from an easily accessible area tbh.

True, but in the context of the video game, since we have a dedicated, FPS like use your gun in melee button, sometimes its much more faster to just use that then to equip a melee weapon.

Yeah, it worked nicely in Halo, though I was playing as a supersoldier so it was easier to suspend my disbelief. Maybe I'll play with high strength so I can go around slapping people with my rocket launcher.

Exactly this. How could a triple missile launcher ever be remotely suitable for melee combat, lol!
