Game will not play at all, even though surpass "ultra&#3

Hey there, first off i bought a $2k new computer just to play this game so my computer is powerful enough i promise!

I downloaded FO4 and told it to "Play" from my Steam library. A FO4 launcher comes up with the options "Play", "Options, "Support", and "Exit". I press play and nothing happens. On the library screen it says "playing" beside FO 4 for like 3 seconds then nothing. The game isnt running there or in the background. My drivers are up-to-date and the system can easily handle the specs.

Bethesda got back to me, asked for my msinfo and dxdiag information. After looking at them, they couldn't figure out the problem either so they are sending the problem on to a team of specialists.

I appreciate it niohoggr, but bethseda couldn't figure it out about their own game so I am not sure others can. I appreciate the thought though, and that is truth.

I just wanted to post this in case others had the same problem, they could be sure that Bethseda is looking into it.

How are you running the game? Off of a shortcut from the desktop, start menu, direct from Steam folder, from steam link or from CD?

I noticed Fallout 4 will not play if you run off of a shortcut. Only short cut that works is the one in the steam folder on the start menu. Also Fallout 4 doesn't seem to run if you run it from the EXE directly from its root folder.

Just because they couldnt figure it out doesnt mean folks on the forums cannot. You actually have a better chance of solving your issue here than thru bethesda cs...seriously. Should post that dxdiag.
