Sooo Charisma and romance....:)

Anyone here is kinda curious of how the charisma special will play with romance with that special virtual person?

Personally I see Charisma going to effect three things when it comes to game play in the romantic.

1:We can convince our romantic partners to try things they would be against.

2: We will have a easier time starting a romance with companions who could be very against it in the first place.

3: Our companions durability becomes a bit stronger and the AI becomes more protective of our pc in battle.

I just want to watch someone do a play through as Lando Calrissian; charming the clothes off of everyone, stealing their teeth, and having them even say "thank you", all across the wasteland, without ever having to fire a shot.

To be completely honest with you Im expecting it to have no effect the n romance at all.

Purely because people would complain if certain features were unavailable to them due to CHA scores

CHA,im assuming, will probably just affect companion nerve again.

I'd be for this only if a 1 Ch character has hilariously awkward things to say when trying and failing to hit on people.

ftfy

Anyway, back to the OP...I agree with all of what you're suggesting, although I think it will be even more than that. I personally think it will greatly affect town building and such.

I have a strong hunch romancing companions will earn a similar in game effect as the personal companion quests in NV, aka romancing them will "unlock" a perk for that companion that improves them in some way.

Heheh,

In my experience Charisma is highly overrated who needs it i say.... when you have beer. Even if you get shot down making a drunk ass of yourself, you can convince yourself they dont know what there missing.

OP I kinda hope it does have a bit better in game effect, and with the new perk chart it may indeed be a variable way to go this time out (I always go luck-charm my first play through cause i am stubborn and dont believe in dump stats) and this time with settlements it might be really dang cool, lets hope the followers can see how great we are as well.

Hey baby, did you fall from heaven?

CH > 4: Because you look like an angel to me.

CH < 4: Because it looks like you landed on your face.
