What do you consider "new"?
To me, it's more than "improved tools". We are presented a new crafting system, new settlement building tool and the tech side itself, has been vastly improved. With more ram, comes the ability to spawn a lot more and load a lot less, and that will impact gameplay in very new ways.
Either they are preparing big surprise( like they did to Fallout Shelter ) by concealing most of the feature or...well, let's just think on the bright side.
Hypothetically, if no more "big" features are presented or even included in the game, are you telling me, that you actually will be disappointed with the content and game overall?
I'm not saying that they don't have more to show, they obviously don't want to spoil more, but I would still play it for 1k hours, if the crafting and settlement building were the "only" big features to be added.
Look at Witcher 3, a grand game, but it doesn't have that many features. Relative simple crafting system and 1 minigame. Fallout 3 is still a great title, that a lot of games these days, can't rival. Fallout 4, at this point, is already a great addition, that hardly will be rivaled for years to come. (considering it has at least as much content as F3/Skyrim, which Todd has confirmed.)
98 days now.... on the 98th of Fallout my true love gave to me.....
I almost finish Tales of Two Wastelands in a month, but there is still 98 days to go
I wish it was only 98 days. It's 98 days, 15 hours and 50 minutes. That 15 hours and 50 minutes will be the longest 15 hours and 50 minutes of the wait.
Oh no, I can finish a big mod within 15 hours
Then I'm not that.
I'm a skeptic, a cynic and heavily principled (I won't play some games out of what they represent), but I avoid hype like the plague to INcrease my enjoyment of the actual game. Same reason why I self-censor to avoid spoilers and new content announced in previews and the like.
I also have incredibly discriminating, but eclectic tastes. I'll happily play Pokémon or Doom or Deus Ex, and I don't worry about games affecting my image, like some of the "cool" people do ("Pah! That game is for CHILDREN!" etc).
So yeah, now you know.
In my experience counting down the days can only lead to burning yourself out on something. best to try not to think about it instead so that when it actually comes you're still excited.
