Fallout 4 keeps crashing continously

Hello Support Team,

today is the first day I play Fallout 4 and after 7 hours I think the game crashed already 10 times. The crashs started after I left the Vault and started to wander around the wasteland. Sometimes the game runs for an hour, sometimes it crahes after 1 min. I don't get an error message, the game just disappears, I am back on the desktop and a little box popping up from Nvidia Geforce Experience tells me

"Der Anzeigetreiber wurde nach einem Fehler wiederhergestellt. Der Anzeigetreiber "Nvideia Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 359.00" reagiert nicht mehr und wurde wiederhergestellt".

(yes, that's german and no I don't know the EXACT translation, but basically it says that the driver was reset after an error)

I already updated the driver to 359.00. Before that I had 358.50 and before that something else which I didn't write down, but anyway it didn't solve the problem.

Here's some info about my System:

Windows 7 64 bit

Intel core i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz

32gb ram

Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 Ti

Oh and I bought the game on Steam and I start it via the Steam client.

I would be super happy if you could come up with a fix for my problem.

cheers,

Kalle

edit: I also tried to deactivite the "NVIDIA Streamer Service" via the Windows Services (services.msc), but it didn't help.

edit2: I tried to install the beta via steam > library > fallout 4 > rightclick > properties > betas tab > dropdown choose a beta ... but there was no option available except for "choose a beta"

edit3: I tried to set the graphic settings of the game to low. Didn't work, crashes after roughly 5min.

edit4: I also tried steam > library > fallout 4 > rightclick > properties > local data > check local game files for error (the last point, don't know the exact english translation) which downloads a couple of file and sets your game files back to default or something. It sets my graphic settings back to "medium" but still the game crashes.

edit5: Running Fallou 4 without Steam via "run as administrator" doesn't work either. Crashes after 15min.

edit6: Closing all unnecessary background programs such as firefox, fraps, even microsoft security essentials, doesn't work.

edit7: I just noticed that the latest beta patch came out. This time there is actually the opportunity to select the beta from the dropdown menue (see "edit2"). Downloaded it. But still, the game keeps crashing.

Thank you very much for making me pay 60€ to become your beta testers.

A would give you an advice, but that's more off an trial and error procedure. So let's say if i find something more substantial over the net i will report to you back.

I guess, next week Beth may come with an beta patch for PC only. So you may wanna wait this one too.

Grü?e aus Griechenland. !!! ;)

By now I will simply stop playing the game. It is extremely annoying. After 12 hours I count around 25 crashes. Honestly I think it's an absolute digrace to charge 60€ for a broken game. Bethesda, you are not an indie developer, that is not your first game, you don't sell the game labeled "early access", you put an enormous amount of money into advertsing and still you can't deliver a functioning product. I am disappointed.

If your beta patch arrives and fixes the problem, okay. But if the game keeps craching I will give it back. As I said this is a complete disgrace to me. This is not how you treat a consumer.

I would try a older driver for example: 358.50 and perform and clean driver install. Usually you can do this by selecting 'Custom Install' and then there is a check-box and the bottom of the window.

Make sure to turn off any antivirus during the driver install.
