I haven't found any news on this but since Skyrim had one-handed weapons that could be put in either hand, I'm hoping that you can choose which hand your character uses for single handed fighting and trigger hand for rifles.

I doubt it, since there is no mention of a dual wield mechanic they don't really have a reason to do dual animations, so its just quicker to stick to right handed.

Dual wielding is a terrible way to use a gun so I hope that isn't a feature, but it would be nice to choose for your character. Oh well not that big of a deal. I would rather be forced to be right-handed and have a stable game, than to choose which hand and have an unstable game.

In real life it may not be very effective for most people, but as the old saying goes, practice makes perfect. That's not to say it would be, but with practice, it can be done.

And, Skyrim wasn't very friendly to lefties, despite the dual wielding mechanic. If I wanted to use a one handed weapon and a shield, guess which way I'm going to be fighting. If I want to use a bow and arrow, guess which way I'm going to be doing it. I'll give you a hint, it won't be as a southpaw, that's for sure.

And this coming from someone who's been a lefty for all his 45 years on the planet.

Has any game EVER done this? I feel for the Lefties, but does this seriously effect gameplay in any respect at all?

I don't mind this but I'm more interested in having duel-wielding guns honestly... I think that would be cool.
