Is this interface the final product?

I'm not seeing the issue either. It's not the greatest HUD I've ever seen, but I'm not getting the problem people seem to be having.

Besides I'm sure there'll be a plethora of HUD skins once the GECK comes out in January, so it's all good.

Ah, right. ... because getting stuck with a game that you just have to deal with and accept with no recourse for anything that might be improved or customized is something to create an international holiday over. Yeah.

Let's make all cars the same color, have only one radio station, only one television station, only one television program, pick only one movie to watch forever, have the same hairstyle and hair color as everyone else, and everyone be and like and do the same things as everyone else.

That will work just fine.

Mods are only a "requirement" for those folks with such delicate sensibilities they have problems with the vanilla release.

Mods, otherwise, are a wonderful customization feature to make the game even better than in already is. "Not broke, don't fix it" doesn't apply to everyone. Some of us, for instance, would be content with the vanilla textures, but, modding allows us to use 4k textures if we want.

Some of us would be content with the vanilla UI, but, having PCs, a smaller font, and options to organize the UI differently would be even more enjoyable.

Some folks might take the default character preset faces and play with those, but, oh, wait, customization and even gender preference is part of the game. Wow. Who would have thought that player choice, preference and customization was part of this game?

It's not like Todd Howard has said anything about how important player freedom and choice is at all. Oh, wait. He has.

Some of us, if we see something we would prefer to have different, prefer to have the option to change it instead of sitting around complaining and hoping the magic invisible people in the sky will make it all better or something.

:)
