Let's hope PS4 players don't get screwed like PS3 Skyrim

That's why I got an X-Box One chiefly to avoid such issues. However, I'll rent this game for the PS4 just to see if it even works.

Extremely unlikely due to higher memory and both consoles being very similar. I'd be more concerned about the Xbox One since it's the weaker of the two.

Lol, why would the PS4's performance be worse than the Xbox One's? The PS4 is a little bit more powerful and easier to make games for this time around. Last time it had significantly less ram available for the GPU and the development kit wasn't as mature. A lot of other games suffered on the PS3 as well.

Well ****. I pre-ordered for X-Box 1.

Hmm...would it be overkill if I bought the PS4 version of Fallout 4 on the day I get the X-Box One version?

You can make all the comparisons you want, but being unable to play some DLC for a mere 30 days is nothing more than an inconvenience in my life and nothing I'm going to bother with getting enraged about.

If the quality of the product itself was terrible, again such as Bethesda's previous PS3 games, than I would be pretty angry. But timed exclusives do not make the base game that I paid for worse.

I always thought it was a hard drive problem, when I bought a sshd for my ps4 I put the ps4 hard drive into the ps3, my old skyrim saves that lagged a lot now ran very smoothly with no fps lag or pop ins.

I think it won't really be an issue for either console this time around. The architecture is a bit more simplistic and Bethesda really cannot afford another black eye such as what happened with Sky PS3. There is more memory to work with and in terms of game world size F4 is on par with other Bethesda titles. The only thing that would concern me on a performance issue would be a memory leak or smaller issues like corpse removal building into an even larger issue.
