Why leave a... sole survivor-OHHH see what I did there? Heh heh.... anyway...
I mentioned that maybe you "fight your way out" since Howard (the male protaganist) has combat training and just causes too much trouble for the faction attacking the vault thus they seal him inside instead of dealing with him directly (because by the time they "seal the vault" he's already popped a few bullets into the bad guys).
Their are 12 companions... and we only know about 4
And yes most of this should be taken with a barrel--err grain of salt.
Until the game gets released, it's ALL speculation, even what Beth have said (not shown) so far is up for discussion and must be questioned.
Why? Because "we didn't have time for beast legs, sorry Skyrim fans!"
Beth is still awesome though.
Facts: Bethesda said it or showed it. (usually)
Speculation: Anyone other than Bethesda said it.
Fire Extinguishers are likely the closest thing to adding a freezing style effect, depending on the type of fire extinguisher being used.
A good amount of those aren't confirmed at all, especially saying a certain faction plays this major role or is present based on nothing valid. Watching anolysis videos and being sure about something isn't confirmation on anything in the slightest, so I don't know why you're labeling things as facts.
There is one https://youtu.be/MzlK0OGpIRs?t=13s
You might believe these things are true/facts.
Unless something is explicitly stated to be so by Bethesda officially, its speculation. Until the game goes gold, nothing is one hundred percent set in stone.
Really. People posting "facts" that haven't been announced by an official source has caused more than one instance of OMG THE DEVS LIED. So not worth the drama and hassle.
Not to be cheeky about it, but I've added the [Speculation] tag to the thread title, to cut down on people potentially getting confused.
At the end of the day anything you're not seeing specifically confirmed within a released video is going to be speculative, and even a lot of the assumptions people are going to come to about what they've seen is going to be speculation. ~KC, you've done a decent job of clarifying your opening post and being relatively clear about it, but making the thread title more accurate ought to (hopefully) get ahead of any further trouble.
My advice is that anything you put on your "facts" list, someone's going to come along and question it. If you aren't able to point out where in a video you found evidence of it or trace the logic that led to your conclusion then you might want to question whether or not it's really a "fact." In the meantime, though, so long as everyone's enjoying themselves...
Mostly speculation, with grains of truth added in to make it appear legitimate. Come on man, we don't need to spread more misinformation than what's already out there.
The Lyon's brotherhood is NOT fact. It's purely speculation. We do not know which BoS faction it is, and I highly doubt that it's Lyon's given the close time frame.
Change the title and/or add tags as required, don't want to mislead anyone
"remember to take ALL of this with a grain of salt folks, the game is not released yet"
The logo seen is the same as Lyon's, but true we don't know it as fact.
Why not just remove "Facts" all together and just put in "My speculations" instead.
Thread has been edited to let readers know this is ALL SPECULATION
If child NPCs grow up over time, wouldn't that logically mean that all NPCs ought to be aging over time and having children that replace them somehow? As interesting of an idea of children growing up in real time is, it's not really something I would realistically expect to be in the game due to the amount of work it would involve, plus the implications on the writing and voice acting side of things. Quests involving aging children would need to be designed in mind for the possibility of involved characters being children, teenagers or advlts depending on how much time has passed before the player starts given quests and how much time passes during and after as well.
You're thinking of old game mechanics from years ago (Fallout 3), Beth have improved on a lot since then.
The game mechanics required are all there (a baby is generated based on your choices at the start of the game) so if that can be done then why not with child/advlt NPC's as well? Why bother with such a complex system if it's not going to play a significant part? Beth are not the type to waste game resources.
P.S. Unlike TES and previous Fallout games their are no races it seems, you just pick what you want from the "pool" of choices.
