gamesas pc support dead?

so i sent in a couple tickets about the pipboy app and got a couple canned responses and nothing since (think about 3 days now)

is there actually a support staff or is it just the canned response telling me to what essentially amounts to go ask in the forums for help from the community.......

What issue are you having with the app? I myself have ran into an issue where when I do a earlyish bos quest where the app just stops connecting after I get close to a satelite dish area. I imagine they are short on the forum/online support from the looks of things.

I imagine that they are a bit overwhelmed right about now. (Plus, it's the weekend, and they probably only work monday through friday.)

Just looking at these forums, they probably have a lot of issues where it's going to take a long time to even figure out if they can reproduce many of the reported problems, let alone figure out how or if there is anything that can be done to address those issues. Meanwhile, their programmers are having to make choices about what they can safely change without breaking something else (and their programmers are having to rely on other people - people who are not the problem solvers - to try and organize things to help the problem solvers pace themselves properly - and that can only work so well...).

And all of this on top of their need to get the GECK working. But just getting the GECK working will also be focusing them on some of the issues in their system (which in turn will help them address some of these problems).

Anyways... trouble reports, for them, are clues which will help them isolate problems they can fix. But for us users they are reports on problems which may or may not be fixable (my bug report might be one of those :brokencomputer: or maybe fixing it would make some other part of the game not so fun??.... I hope yours will be easier to fix).

Currently the best answer to any and all issues is; wait for the patch.

Kind of a difficult situation bug wise since we don't know if/what it'll fix :P

Well, aside from the day one patch, the first patch is already announced for this week, if all goes well. It'll go up in beta on steam first, then go live a little later.

They usually write articles over at Bethesda Blog, which you can also read about how they will update this game going forward: https://bethesda.net/#en/dashboard

Went up last Thursday. Their plans for the patch to come out this week, in beta at least, are at the bottom of the message.

The beta patch is out for PC users.

You need to opt in under the Fallout 4 properties in your Steam Library.
