I feel like playing one which is better i never heard of them until fallout 3 came along so which should i buy first?

get them both plus tactics from interplay's website only 20 bucks. I enjoyed them both for what they were

Well, Fallout 1 is the first; and 2 actually is connected to some extent to the first game... so I'd recommend your start at the beginning. (Not that you'd be terribly lost starting with #2, though.)

Just keep in mind it's a totally different game. Just because you like Fallout 3 doesn't mean you're going to like any of the earlier ones.

I used to love that style of game, after oblivion and fallout 3 I have not been able to go back to one of those gmes and enjoy it like I used to.

Fallout 1 has a time limit, which bothers a small amount of people. Though mods easily fix that.

Fallout 2 got a little "off-track" with the whole feel of Fallout. Still a good game though.

I prefer the first two the fallout 3 myself, but im kinda baised as i played them both when they came out. Graphics aside, as far as the whole rpg genre goes, they are in fact alot better. As long as you dont mind, you know, reading dialog. Or that the games are over ten years old. Thier deep, creative, and fun. Again, not all people like the old school rpg genre, and you might not like the fact thiers more dialog options and trees in many of the town in fallout 1 and 2 then in all the towns in fallout 3 combined. Plus it doesnt tell you in chat what your chance of success at lying is, what skill gives what options, and generally the smart choices will generally look like the smart ones, rather then pointing out the obvious. The pop culture refrences in fallout 2 get stale pretty quickly.
