I used a signal grenade to hitch a ride to goodneighbor from Sanctuary, and saved the game after I threw the grenade, a bit later landed near goodneighbor when the vertibird crashes making a massacre of nearby friendly NPC's, so I reload and decide to fast travel instead since I already made the trip, get there and sometime later throw a signal grenade to hop a ride back but my vertibird wont come

after trying on several reloads I notice the message in the corner of "a vertibird is sent..." wasn't showing, none of the quests I did had the brotherhood so I didnt piss them off, I fast travel back to Sanctuary because I remember that was the last working signal grenade

the original vertibird is now flying in circles over Sanctuary, and wont land to pick me up... I've tried throwing another grenade, no clip running to it and trying to board (you can get the press E to Board but it doesn't work), shooting it down (bullets and mini nukes clip though), deleting it (grenades dont fix themselves after its gone) but I can't figure out how to get my grenades working again
