A few observations

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 11:54 pm

1. The lighting. Looks like they have finally done a great job with it. The weather looks fantastic, and the nights dark enough. Any one else glad about this?

2. The environmental detail. People complain about the graphics, I think its beautiful, and the detail gone into the design could possibly make for some interesting environmental interaction..

3. The physics. The revamped physics , I imagine could really add to the game play. Maybe we could throw a box of sugar bombs into the air to distract enemies?

4. Smoothness. Everything seems quite proffessionally done, honestly. The game is getting so much hate but I'm really pumped to see what Beth might be trying. Change is always going to happen, and maybe they are at least going into the right direction?

Overall, I'm excited. The gameplay features, considering how much effort seems to be going into this, might be extremely fleshed out. I personally hope however that the difficulty settings rather influence realism of things like combat and skill checks, rather than NPC health (Although encounter zone effects are fine) and maybe even a better fleshed out hardcoe mode.

Thoughts? Let's openly discuss a bit of what I mentioned.. Objectively, if possible please.

I like what I see, and I hope the world is as expansive as Skyrim. Even the animation seems somewhat improved.

The positive evolution of the game is a logical thing that had to happen. I'm guessing a lot of things will be fixed, and even though some minor issues will remain, it's a new Fallout game ! Just can't wait...

I'm with you on this; the lighting is much better.

The character graphics left plenty to be desired, but I have a feeling that they aren't the finished product. Even if they are, this doesn't look like the game is turned up to ultra graphics.

Or...Even in a worst, worst case scenario, there's always mods.

It's good to see some positive share of the excitement! Rather than pessimism and skepticism, I see these new nods to features and such to be very very promising. I can kind of see myself becoming totally immersed already!

Immersion. That's a word we will come to loathe before this is all over, if the Skyrim prerelease was any indication lol

True, I honestly feel that the even the console builds will look better on release. Look at a comparison in visuals between the builds of The Witcher 3. Not too different (Although there will probably be draw distance differences) . I feel like they are still probably developing the graphical effects and character models. Even saying that, I'm still impressed with what they have done.

yeah the lighting looks so much better. I really hope they make this DX11 as there's literally no excuse now all the platforms support it.
