Pip-Boy Edition PC delivery fail....

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 7:22 pm

I spent $120+ on a pre-ordered Pip-Boy edition through Amazon...and guess where I am right now. Not playing Fallout 4. I'm SOOOO glad I spent the extra money for the uber-expensive version to show my support and loyalty so that I could sit back and relax and NOT play the game. And still have to wait to install it...and download half of it from Steam. Which I could have done earlier this week if I had bought the cheap version. Fail, gamesas. Fail Amazon.

- Sincerely, a very unhappy gamer.

Most are tired of seeing these posts. People are threatening lawsuits over this. It's pathetic. You're not entitled to anything other than the physical possession of the product, since you paid for it. If you failed to keep up to date on this (It's a hybrid: disc + download) then you are to blame for not paying enough attention to detail before you received the product. And if your internet connection is slow, then that also means you should not blame Bethesda or Amazon, and it's on YOU to invest in some faster internet speed that does not cause you so much PAIN.

The sad thing is the Internet and forums have only just made more ways for people to complain on... There is this false hope that other people will give a crap and it will become a bandwagon for all.

I bought the Pip Boy Edition too.. and yeah I cant play it yet either. Downloading is taking me over a day. I can wait though.

My internet speed is plenty fast to download the remainder of the game, and I kept VERY close tabs on the game and it's delivery date, thank-you-very-much. I think that it was disingenuous of gamesas to be like "ehrmagerd pre-order NOW before they run out!!!!" and NOT provide a Steam code for those of us who DID, and paid the extra for the "privilege" of the collectors edition. Particularly in light of the fact that those who purchase digitally, on day-of-release, get (relatively) instantaneous access.

No, I don't think I'm entitled to anything...but thank you for pointing that out. I would have never guessed in the "I'm on welfare and playing Fallout 4 on my PS4 world we live in" I would be entitled to anything. I simply think that this is extremely bad planning and publicity on their part - particularly for those of us who pre-ordered months ago, spent the extra money to purchase the collectors edition.

As for the "lawsuit" and "we're sick of reading this crap" parts - no, I'm not threatening a lawsuit, but I want my voice to be heard, and there is very little (if any) way to voice my displeasure regarding this situation. And if you're sick of hearing of it, you didn't have to click the link to read the post and reply with a snarky response.
