Amazon Lost Orders Thread

PC steam season pass physical lost in mail by carrier...

Called Amazon support and they were very nice in helping with the issue. Amazon informed me that the delivery person who was an amazon delivery person entered in the notes for the order that they lost the season pass. Worse is even though the pass is lost their "systems" dont let them send a new pass, if I order a new one I may be charged for both I was told. Seems that their "computer system" doesnt let them replace an order even when notified of lost shipment until a certain amount of time has passed in this case the 14th. Asked if could just buy a PC download code instead but the problem is even though the order is confirmed lost they cant issue a refund or cancel the order since technically its status is in "shipment" even though the delivery person noted they lost the item. How frustrating...

I feel it. I come home today tired from my duties and ready to check out my Fallout 4 Pipboy edition only to find it not yet here. I looked up my order on Amazon and it says that the package was delivered and left on my front porch. I called UPS and made an inquiry about it. They said I'd get a call back from the local center about the package within the next hour, so I'm waiting on that. In the meantime, I looked over the camera footage in front of our house and found that the UPS truck came by at the time it said the package was delivered, but it didn't stop and just drove on. I'm glad it wasn't stolen off my porch by some passerby, but I'm still really concerned about where my package could be. Anyone experience any flub like this?

Possibly. Almost been an hour and still no call. Think I'll call them again in 15 minutes, and also throw in the fact that I have recorded footage of the package not being delivered. I just hope it's at the post office rather than having been delivered at another house down the street. Hopefully this can be resolved by tomorrow.

sounds so nerve racking! Not sure if I could wait until tomorrow haha. Id be in car and on the way to wherever that UPS truck returned to. That way can find out from the source what is going on. Only once had a package ever get delivered to the wrong person, never got it back, not sure if it was ever actually delivered or lost tbh.

Okay, so just got off the phone with UPS again. I didn't quite get what the man said. Told me that the case is in the system and that I should start an investigation if the package was stolen. I told him that I have video footage of the truck driving past my house and he said that he'll add it to the case and I have to wait another hour for a call back (sigh). They said they'll be asking the driver about what happened. I don't exactly live in the most honest city, so my paranoia is bringing up the possibility that the delivery guy kept it (though I still doubt that). Mayn, just wanted to play some Fallout 4... TTvTT)

Doesnt seem like hed keep it or know what was in the box? He did drive there so that means he meant to do something? Is there any way to go there yourself to the distribution center? Done that in the past and been handed the package before. Soooo nervous about pipboys! their more rare than gold and more valuable to us fans for even one to be lost.

I know, right!? I wouldn't be too pissed if it was some random thing I bought, but it was so hard just getting my order in for this, I think it'd be a bit too crushing if all I got was a refund. :/ I doubt he did take it, but it is a small possibility, who knows? Possibility he dropped it off at the wrong house? I'd be more worried in that case. Someone is out with the car right now so I doubt I'll be able to drive there, and even if I could, it may be closed.

Edit: Received call back this time. Lady on the line said that there is a possibility that the driver may have delivered it at the wrong house. She is sending the driver back here to see if he can recall where he dropped it off at.

ackkkk wrong house! what a nightmare! its worse than a jet junkie looking for their next fix!

Hope this turns out well, if the driver is going back then their still open whereever this driver went from. Hope maybe car comes back to go there and find out what house? who signed for it might help then can just walk over and ask. Or if noone signed for it then why is it at the wrong address, lol. Thats the ultimate failure of a shipping company when their one job of delivering a package which is simple they manage to mess up. Delivery people have ONE job deliver the package....

Im surprised because of the price that someone didnt have to sign for it, I guess such laws are different over in America.

Yeah. I didn't exactly get the chance to ask her where he was being dispatched from. I still highly doubt that this will be solved today. I think I'll have to try my luck tomorrow and call again to see if anything came of it. This truly is quite a failure for a shipping company, but most of my annoyance and anger at their mistake has kinda subsided already, I just hope I get it somehow.

I'm pretty sure that certain purchases do require a signature but I guess $150~ (also bought game guide) wasn't enough to fit that criteria.
