UPS drove off with my Pip-Boy!

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 4:08 pm

So I ordered my Pip-Boy Edition from Amazon, and all was well with delivery schedule..right on time, the little green line moving ever closer to my house.

Later my keen ears pick up the sound of the delivery truck (yes I'm home not at work), I see the UPS driver set down a box and walk quickly back toward his truck. I look down and see it's a small box that no Pip-Boy would fit in!

It takes a second to register...hey!

He just waves in response to my spastic arm flapping and drives away.

Hell no! I grab my keys and run to the outside of my garage and click my garage opener...its old and moves at a painful crawl...

I start to duck inside garage I can't wait to get car started, when I hear that truck sound only delivery trucks make and its the brown UPS truck and he honks.

He pulls up jumps out and grabs a large box and says "I forgot one package when I dropped off the small one".

I told him "I was just leaving to come after you".

He smiled I smiled and I walked inside.

You should have pulled out your pipe gun and hit Q, then picked a body part, selected it, then started firing.

awesome story! there is another post here on the forums about a similar thing occurring where the UPS driver showed up but drove off, why is this happening to poor bethesda only? Never had this happen with anything else including items worth tens of thousands that were delivered.

But he didn't have his pip-boy. No pip-boy, no VATS.

Funny because even the pip-boy box is tiny. I thought they forgot mine too until I opened that midget box.

I pre-ordered mine through amazon and got the release day delivery guarantee. I stupidly left work early thinking it would arrive early, as all previous deliveries of anything I've ever ordered all come between 11:00-14:00. I was overly disappointed to find it hadn't arrived and then found the 'by 21:00' small print. At 20:25 I heard a van pull up so I started making my way outside, only to find he was turning round and then drove off. I thought it must have been for something else or a lost driver. At 20:30 the tracking website stated it was delivered and said 'posted through letter box'. No such thing! I'm now in limbo as I've got to wait for various neighbours to come forward if they have mistakenly been posted my copy. If nothing happens then they will send another out! Great service from Amazon!

This seems to be happening alot oddly with these pipboys that their being delivered wrong, missing codes, or vanishing. Perhaps there is a crime syndicate involved like the Russian Mafia or Yakuza that is trying to corner all the copies by infiltrating delivery services around the world to get as many pipboys as they can since they command such high prices on the black markets, by black markets that would be anything other than the originating retailer such as ebay, or even craigslist if you can imagine but stranger things have happened.

This is how accidents happen.

Little kids get run over when they chase their toys onto the street. Big kids chase after their toy in cars.

But I'm glad you got it.
